Course Overview

Explore the possibilities of aluminium etching in a professional studio using an array of materials, processes, and printing presses. Over three days, you will create your own edition of prints focused on the exploration of constructing images, new techniques and compositional experiments.

Lecturer Profile

Annabelle McEwen is an artist practising on Gadigal Land (Sydney) with a Bachelor and Masters’ degrees in Fine Art, majoring in Printmaking. Her art practice uses printmaking techniques to consider the relationship between digital landscapes and the body. She has been shown in numerous exhibitions, most recently including BLACKBOX, at Schmick Contemporary, Edition Three at Bankstown Arts Centre, and Freaks of Nature at Ambush Gallery. Annabelle was awarded The Ellen O'Shaughnessy Printmaking Award in 2019. Her work is in the collections of The University of Southern Queensland, The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University, Curtin University Western Australia, Southern Cross University Lismore, The National Art School Archive and University of New South Wales Art and Design Zine Nook at Paddington Library.
