Course Overview

Are you inspired by photography and eager to take your skills to the next level? This immersive week-long workshop is designed to help you move beyond your camera’s automatic settings and develop creative control. With a mix of theory, hands-on exercises, and personalised guidance, you’ll learn to master aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, and focus modes—understanding how these functions work together to shape light, exposure, and composition.

Guided by acclaimed photographer Glenn Lockitch, the course takes you from the studio to the streets. In the studio, you’ll explore how to ‘see’ and sculpt light in a controlled environment, while on photography walks through inner Sydney you’ll practice capturing portraits, candid moments, and dynamic street scenes in changing conditions. The course concludes with essential editing techniques, helping you refine colour, contrast, and detail to bring your images to life.

By the end of the week, you’ll have both a solid technical foundation and the confidence to create photographs that reflect your personal vision. This workshop is ideal for beginners and intermediate photographers looking to expand their skills and develop their creative eye.
