Course Overview

Come join us at NAS this summer and expand your knowledge of what a book can be. Discover contemporary forms of print and image making using techniques such as heat transfer, collage, monotypes and dry point. Through your creative journey you will create your own zine or artist book that exploresa topic you’re passionate about.

Lecturer Profile

Bella La Spina is a contemporary printmaker practicing on Gadigal and Kuringgai Land.  Her work expands to photographic processes and sculptural assemblages to explore the liminal zones of the archive, delving into themes of memory, storytelling, and truth. Bella graduated from the National Art School in 2023 with an MFA in Printmaking and has since taught various workshops in print media. Her works are held nationally and internationally including in the Arts Law Centre of Australia collection and the National Art School Archive. Her works have been shown in various exhibitions including SELECTED: a Photography and Printmaking exhibition curated by Andrew Totman at CBD Gallery in Sydney and Disruption: Discourse and Exchange at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang in Bangkok, Thailand.
